Scribble Tribe

Problem: This company needed to create a strong web presence for up-and-coming writers. They wanted a web site that would connect writers with literary agents, editors and publishers.

Solution: Overmortal developed a full scale solution (design, development and marketing), writing the social networking web application in Ruby on Rails with non-obtrusive AJAX components for a smooth user experience, and hooks into the Amazon.com web services API to incorporate published books into the authors' listings. A Flash component was also incorporated to convert Word document and PDF document uploads into Flash objects for display on the web site, as well as for sharing purposes.

Overmortal also developed the company's initial search engine marketing (SEM) campaign to establish a pool of registrants for "beta" usage.

Mythos Media

Problem: This cultural media company needed a genre-friendly web presence to help them launch their business. They required a tightened up web design along with a powerful backend for content management that could be expanded quickly and cost effectively as the company evolved.

Solution: Overmortal modified existing design concepts to create a solid web presence for Mythos Media in the culture and mythology space. We wrote their application in Python - using the Django framework - to contains both a weblog (for product announcements) and a backend catalog management system.

Overmortal also successfully handled their initial SEM for a traffic push out of the gate.

Problem: This client wanted to establish a web presence specificially geared towards those searching for local area chiropractors online. Key to their success was establishing a top ten search engine ranking for the terms "chiropractor" and "chiropractic" in the areas that they service.

Solution: This is a key example of Overmortal working hand-in-hand with a small business client through constant communication and project evolution. This static HTML web site was design by Overmortal with SEO and search in mind from the ground up.

Problem: In the process of converting from an "occult" magazine to a "counterculture" magazine, this web site needed a fresh design to go along with a full force SEO effort to boost its search engine rankings. In the process, the technology used to build the web site was deemed too slow, so it had to be rewritten to tackle performance issues.

Solution: Overmortal rewrote (and redesigned) this online counterculture magazine in Python - using the Django framework - to eliminate speed issues.

Overmortal not only successfully implemented the technology to manage the web site, but also skyrocketed the web sites search rankings for the choosen keywords through an expertly crafted SEO campaign.

The initial marketing also exceeded expections for this web site that is pushing 500,000 page views a month.
